The AI-native production pipeline
Hybrid production, the real cost shift in filmmaking, and why taste still wins.

A talk we gave this month, written up. The argument is that the cost of producing an image has collapsed while the cost of deciding which image to produce has not moved at all.
Where the money actually goes
On a hybrid production the line items shift rather than shrink. Less on units and locations, more on development, design and post supervision. Total budgets fall, but the shape of the budget changes more than the size.
The cost of making an image collapsed. The cost of choosing one did not.
Why taste still wins
When everyone can produce anything, the only durable advantage is knowing what is worth producing. That is a craft skill, it takes years, and no tool has shortened the path to it.
